They say it takes a village to raise a child, and at Oak Learners, we've built one of the best. Our camp counsellors are the heart and soul of the summer experience, and we choose each one with tremendous care.

Our counsellors are trained to inspire confidence and curiosity in every single camper. Whether your child is bold and outgoing or quietly observant, our team knows how to meet them where they are.

💛Oak Learners Summer Camp Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations of summer camp programs made before June 1 of the same program year are subject to a 10% administration fee. All cancellations of summer camp programs made on or after June 1 of the same program year are subject to a 50% administration fee. No cancellations will be processed within 7 days of the start of the session to be cancelled.

🎒 What to Pack for Summer Camp

Getting ready for camp should feel exciting — not overwhelming! Here's a friendly guide to help you pack with confidence.

Please remember to label everything with your child's name! It makes a huge difference on busy adventure days.

• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing — think layers! Mornings can be cool and afternoons warm. Pack an extra pair of clothes in a reusable bag that is labelled. 

• Supportive closed-toe shoes — running shoes are perfect for active outdoor days.

• A wide-brimmed hat — sun protection is a must for our outdoor explorers.

• Labelled sunscreen — please apply before drop-off and pack a bottle for reapplication. Stick applicators are easier for children to apply themselves.

• A reusable, labelled water bottle — staying hydrated keeps the adventures going all day! 

• A lightweight backpack — campers carry their own gear on neighbourhood outings, so keep it manageable!

⭐ Our Favourite Summer Activities

Here are a few activities to inspire curiosity, spark creativity, and help children connect with the natural world around them:

• 🌿 A Nature Journal — Encourage your child to sketch plants, bugs, and clouds or write about their day. A simple blank notebook becomes a treasure over the summer.

• 🎨 Art Supplies — Sketchbooks, coloured pencils, watercolours, or stamps are perfect for quiet creative moments and capturing the beauty of your outdoor adventures.

• 💧 A Reusable Water Bottle — Let your child pick one they love! Make sure they can easily open it themselves. Make or purchase stickers to set it apart from others.

• 📚 A Great Summer Read — Reading for pleasure over the summer is one of the best gifts you can give your child. Visit your local library, find a community book-sharing box.

• 🔍 A Magnifying Glass or Bug Kit — Children love investigating the tiny worlds in grass, soil, and gardens.

• 🌞 A Cheerful, Lightweight Tote Bag — Great for carrying found treasures; decorate yours with paint, stamps, or iron-on transfers.
