The Best Fall Outdoor Clothing for Kids

Cooler mornings and sunny afternoons make fall one of the trickiest seasons to dress for. At Oak Learners, our students spend extended time outdoors in every kind of weather, and the right clothing makes all the difference in helping them stay warm, dry, and excited to explore. We have put together our favourite picks for fall outdoor gear, along with one golden rule every parent should know. Read the full article for our top recommendations.

Preschool, the Oak Way

Oak Learners' Preschool Enrichment Program is not your typical preschool class. With a 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio, our teachers can adapt a single lesson in real time: offering one child a visual prompt, another a movement break, and another a deeper challenge. It is tailored attention in action. Our preschoolers also learn alongside the whole school, exploring the same units as our older students, which builds a truly inclusive community where every learner, big or small, feels part of something together.

Preschool Enrichment: Ages 2.5-4 year olds

Our Preschool Enrichment Program is designed for children aged 2.5 to 4 years who will be starting Kindergarten next year. This is not a daycare. Rather, it's a purposeful "Kindergarten Readiness" program that builds classroom and independence skills through play-based, inquiry-led learning. The program runs three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and explores literacy, numeracy, science, social language skills, and so much more.

What Your Child Will Explore

Every class in our Preschool Enrichment Program is full of hands-on discovery. Your child will:

  • Build language and early literacy skills through songs, stories, and games
  • Explore numbers, patterns, and early math concepts
  • Express themselves through art, music, and creative play
  • Grow confident and independent through daily routines
  • Learn to cooperate and communicate with friends
  • Strengthen their minds with experiments, memory games, and community outings to places like the fire station
  • Run, jump, climb, and move their bodies every single day

Spaces are limited to keep our 6:1 ratio, so save your child's spot.
